This equipment is used for testing cans by compressed air for possible leaks after the body has been reformed, flanged end one and seamed on.
Tester Operation
The can to be tested is placed on the adjustable support prongs with the flanged or open end against the rubber pad, and the foot pedal is depressed. This clamps the can and admits air to a predetermined pressure, while immersing the can in the water tank, Air bubbles operated to give up to 40 psi pressure.
Tester Specifics
Air pressure can be controlled by setting the reduction value at 5, 10 or 15 psi (as required), Machines fabricated for users operating without central, compressed air supply are supplied without air pressure reduction values. Instead, these are fitted with a foot pump which can be manually operated to give up 40 psi pressure.
